Shannon Construction was hired by MJ Wilkow to build out a new pickleball court inside the Steelfit tenant amenity space at the iconic US Steel Tower in downtown Pittsburgh. This project transformed underused space on the concourse level into a bright, modern court that offers a fun, high-quality recreational option for building tenants.
Work included removing old walls, ceilings, lighting, and mechanical systems, then installing a new layout with energy-efficient lighting, upgraded HVAC, durable sports flooring, and improved fire protection. The design also added a fourth exit to enhance safety and improve traffic flow in and out of the space.
