420 Boulevard of the Allies involved extensive renovations to the 157,290 square foot core and shell to re-purpose the building from the former Art Institute of Pittsburgh to a commercial office use.

This project won the 2018 Pittsburgh NIAOP award for office renovations. M&J Wilkow opted to to return it to its past use as a traditional office building, by taking advantage of a classic building’s appealing architecture and outfitting it with current finishes and amenities such as a fitness center, bike storage and showers, kitchens and ample common areas, a rooftop deck.

Shannon Construction was able to ensure all aspects of the building were renovated from MEPs to finishes which resulted in a quick purchase of the property by the city of Pittsburgh to expand their offices.

Keystone at the Crossing office park (5 buildings totaling 97,500 SF) located in Indianapolis, IN needed revitalization.

Shannon Construction was asked to partner with the building management team to renovate both the landlord and new tenant spaces. Over the past 2 years, Shannon has renovated the amenities that included a 4,000 SF fitness facility, 1,200 SF conference center, and a small tenant lounge.

To date, tenant renovations in all 5 buildings have totaled over 15,000 SF with many more planned for the next 2 years. We appreciate and value our partnership with MJ Wilkow, building management on this long term project.

This was Shannon Construction's 2nd renovation project with Morgan Lewis at Oxford Centre, 31st & 32nd Floors.

The project consisted of renovating the main reception area with a new drywall ceiling, new lighting, new floor marble tile with herringbone pattern, fabrication of a new reception desk, paint and wall covering. We completed renovations to existing conference rooms, employee café and we added additional offices on the 31st floor and reconfigured office areas on the 32nd floor.

Conference room renovations consisted of reconfiguring the conference rooms, matching existing millwork with new millwork adding full glass with wood trims, new carpet and lighting. Café was renovated with new ceiling, lighting, granite countertops, cabinets and LVT flooring. This project started out as a phased occupied project and switched to phased unoccupied due to COVID19 hit. We finished the project on time and on budget.

Accounting giant CLA’s Pittsburgh office upgraded to a new space at the Union Trust Building. CLA, short for Clifton Larson Allen, is the eighth-largest public accounting firm in the U.S. as ranked by 2019 revenue, which was $1.15 billion. From creating a smooth transition between the marble lobby floor of the building to the office lobby for CLA, to the custom made decorating ceiling panels Shannon construction was able to have CLA move in to their new space weeks earlier than planned. The new office allowed for a more open flow for office, redesigned interior offices, and a new, state of the art office kitchenette.

The complete renovation of a prior Macy's department store building began with the exterior. Shannon added 52 new windows by cutting through existing brick, matched existing panels, married HVAC components, and roof patching work to ensure both client and tenant satisfaction. The open parking structure was also renovated to include a secured parking area for tenants on both floors of the building. The exterior is now modern and illuminated by a network linked lighting system by the first floor tenant (see Commonwealth Charter Academy project).
